This project included Preliminary and Final Design of approximately 2 miles of new rural two-lane 10-ton roadway with concrete surfacing. The project links SW 18th Street and existing Highway 14 on the west side of Owatonna. Corridor grading accommodates a future four lane urban design which is the ultimate configuration for the roadway. This project was needed to provide "system linkage" between the Mn/DOT proposed alignment of Highway 14 (New Highway 14) and existing Highway 14. The new roadway will provide a vital connection for the area as a direct route between north and south Owatonna.
