Lead Design Technician
CSAH 68 / CSAH 91
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician for the reconstruction of the intersection of CSAH 68 at CSAH 91 in Scott County. This intersection will be reconstructed to include a single lane roundabout for traffic control. Improvements to this intersection will include the realignment of approximately 1800 lineal feet of CSAH 68 and 2200 lineal feet of CSAH 91 to accommodate a single lane roundabout and approaches. This intersection has moderately high speed approaches and this reconstruction will place a strong focus on intersection visibility with careful treatments of approach curbing, transition lighting and signs. Design services will include preliminary design for roadway geometrics, profiles, drainage design and construction limits.
Lead Design Technician
CSAH 8 / CSAH 23
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician for the reconstruction of the intersection of CSAH 8 at CSAH 23 in Scott County. Updates to the intersection include the realignment of approximately 2500 lineal feet of CSAH 8 and a single lane roundabout and approach lanes for traffic control. The resulting roundabout intersections will eliminate the existing approach skew and improve the capacity and safety of the intersection. Design services will include preliminary design for roadway geometrics, profiles, drainage design and construction limits.
Lead Design Technician
CSAH 25 / Washington Avenue
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician for the reconstruction of Washington Ave and Adams Street in Hutchinson. Proposed improvements include a mill and overlay or reclaim and overlay extending from the South Fork of the Crow River on the south to Fair Avenue SE (approximately 0.5mi). Washington Ave Improvements include the reconstruction of the existing roadway to develop consistent traffic operation and parking usage between Main Street and Adams Street. Proposed improvements include sanitary sewer, watermain storm sewer, curb, roadway surfacing, lighting, streetscape, and walks. Streetscape and lighting will be designed to seamlessly blend in with the existing amenities on Main Street.
Lead Design Technician
TH 60 Phase 2
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician for this road realignment / reconstruction project, which connects to Phase 1 and continues 2.5 miles north into Worthington, Minnesota. The proposed 4-lane divided rural section will transition to a 4-lane divided urban section as the roadway enters the City of Worthington. This project includes the design of a multi-lane roundabout at the intersection of TH 60 and CSAH 35. Design services for the Level 1 Layout include preliminary design for roadway geometrics, profiles, drainage design and construction limits.

TH 60 Phase 1
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician for this project. This 6 mile road realignment / reconstruction project is located south of Worthington, Minnesota. The existing 2-lane rural section is being redesigned into a 4-lane divided rural section. Design services include final plans for roadway geometrics, profiles, bituminous surfacing, concrete pavement design, and drainage design. Roadway improvements include new pavement, drainage facilities and walkways.

West Beltline (CSAH 7) Construction, Steele County
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician of this project, which includes Preliminary and Final Design of approximately 2 miles of new rural two-lane 10-ton roadway with concrete surfacing. The project will link SW 18th Street and existing Highway 14 on the west side of Owatonna. Corridor grading will accommodate a future four lane urban design which is the ultimate configuration for the roadway. This project is needed provide “system linkage” between the Mn/DOT proposed alignment of Highway 14 (New Highway 14) and existing Highway 14. The proposed roadway will provide a vital connection for the area as a direct route between north and south Owatonna.
Lead Design Technician
46th Street Pilot Lighting Study
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician of this project, which is a Pilot Lighting Study located along 46th Street for both Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis. This lighting study is the largest of its kind in the State and will analyze how well Light Emitting Diode (LED) and Induction street lighting types work as compared to the City of Minneapolis standard of High Pressure Sodium (HPS). Parameters of comparison include: cost effectiveness, light output (efficacy), energy savings, maintenance concerns and public acceptance. Several different vendor and distributor LED and Induction lighting types will be utilized for this project

TH 3/CSAH 28 Intersection
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician of this project, which involves the development of a Level 1 Layout for the City of Inver Grove Heights for the intersection of TH 3 and CSAH 28. The preliminary design includes a multi-lane, four-legged roundabout. Design services include detail plans for roadway geometrics, profiles, bituminous surfacing, concrete pavement design, landscaping, signal design, and lighting.

TH 610/Zachary Lane Interchange Preliminary Design
Leslie is currently serving as the Lead Design Technician for this interchange project. The objective of this project is to develop and evaluate two signalized and two multi-lane roundabout intersections at the ramp terminals for the proposed interchange at Zachary Lane and TH 610 in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Preliminary design engineering services include: reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and making recommendations for improving Mn/DOT’s preliminary concept layouts for the proposed signalized and roundabout intersections. Traffic modeling will be performed, as required for Phase 2 of the Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE) report as per Mn/DOT’s ICE guidelines. Plans for permanent signing, pavement marking, drainage, lighting, landscaping, and traffic control as well as pedestrian and bicycle accommodations will also be included.

TH 19 Preliminary and Final Design, Mn/DOT District 7
Leslie served as the Lead Design Technician for this 0.80-mile reconstruction of TH 19 that included two single-lane roundabouts at the intersecting Chalupsky and Alton Avenues and a signalized intersection at CSAH 37. The existing undivided rural section was redesigned into a divided urban section. The additions to the roadway included new pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer, and sidewalks.

CSAH 153 (Lowry Avenue) Phase 2 Final Design
Leslie served as the Lead Design Technician of this project. This project included the complete reconstruction of Lowry Avenue from Theodore Wirth Parkway/Victory Memorial Drive to Girard Avenue (Phase 1 Limit). This 1.1-mile segment included roadway geometry, profiles, storm sewer, signal systems, landscaping, lighting, and bituminous and concrete pavement design.

CSAH 153 (Lowry Avenue) Phase 1 Final Design
Leslie served as the Lead Design Technician for this project which consisted of complete reconstruction of the roadway from Girard Avenue to Interstate 94 in order to facilitate addition of left turn lanes, on-street bicycle lanes, raised median islands, parking bays, and bus turn-outs. Design services included detail plans for roadway geometrics, bituminous surfacing, concrete pavement design, storm sewer design, landscaping, signal design, and lighting.

CSAH 153 (Lowry Avenue) Preliminary Design
Leslie served as Lead Design Technician for the preliminary design of Lowry Avenue located in North Minneapolis. This project consisted of the reconstruction and redevelopment of the Lowry Avenue Corridor from Theodore Wirth Parkway to Interstate 94.

CSAH 44 (Silver Lake Road)
Leslie served as the Lead Design Technician for the reconstruction and widening of Silver Lake Road from 15th Street to County Road H (approximately 1.3 miles). This project consisted of complete grading, bituminous paving, storm sewer, lighting, landscaping, signal plans, sidewalk reconstruction, as well as examining the feasibility of a pedestrian tunnel for the County trail system and a structural analysis of three in-place box culverts. This $3.5 million project was successfully designed in 90 days.

County Road 33
Leslie served as the Lead Design Technician for the reconstruction and widening of County Road 33. This 2-mile rural project consisted of grading/widening the existing section to State Aid Standards, while maintaining existing drainage patterns and minimizing impact to adjoining properties. The road section also allowed for a pedestrian/bike trail along the south edge of the roadway.

TH 169/TH 19 Interchange Improvement, Mn/DOT District 7
Leslie served as the Lead Design Technician for the TH 169/TH 19 Interchange Improvement. Mn/DOT District 7 requested the assistance for final design of their $6.2 million project. The rural intersection of TH 169 and TH 19 was reconstructed as a rural interchange. Specifically, the new interchange is a folded diamond configuration with TH 19 passing over TH 169. The project lies on the county line between Le Sueur and Scott Counties and between the cities of Belle Plaine and Le Sueur.

TH 212 Reconstruction
Leslie served as Lead Design Technician for State Project 6511-30 located on Trunk Highway 212 in Olivia from the east junction of TH 71 to the east of the junction with CSAH 14. The project consisted of a complete reconstruction including concrete pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer, pond and storm sewer analysis, and lighting in conjunction with the proposed downtown improvement project.

CSAH 3 and St. Louis/Milwaukee Street Project
Leslie served as the Lead Design Technician for the design of CSAH 3 (Excelsior Boulevard). The project included developing a four-legged intersection to accommodate 28,000 vehicles, a railroad, future commuter rail, express bus line, Hennepin Regional Parks trail, and pedestrian traffic.

Hiawatha Avenue Light Rail Transit Design/Build Project
Leslie was the CAD Manager for the first light rail built in Minnesota overseeing CAD technicians from the design teams and government agencies, ensuring CAD standards were followed by all companies involved, and QA/QC of drawings following ISO 9000 quality management system standards.

Hiawatha Avenue Light Rail Preliminary Engineering
Leslie was the Lead Design Technician for the development of the preliminary engineering/funding package for the Hiawatha Avenue Light Rail Transit. She established the preliminary plan set that was accepted for funding this project.
Senior Design Technician
TH 77 (Cedar Avenue)/66th Street Interchange
Leslie was a Senior Design Technician for the interchange reconstruction of TH 77 and 66th Street in Richfield, Minnesota for the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC). This design included entrance and exit ramps, the reconstruction of 66th Street, and coordination with airport and adjacent projects.

TH 610/Zane Avenue
Leslie served as the Lead Design Technician for Segment 3 of TH 610. This project required coordination between Mn/DOT, City of Brooklyn Park, and various consulting firms working on the other three segments. This concrete paving project included the full diamond interchange at Zane Avenue and extended from Hampshire Avenue to Noble Parkway in Brooklyn Park.
