Stonebrooke creating 3D model and animation for Minneapolis Transportation Interchange
Stonebrooke Engineering was selected by Hennepin County to create a 3D model and animated video exhibits of the proposed Minneapolis Transportation Interchange, a new transportation hub located next to Target Field in Minneapolis.
Our team began by performing a topographic survey and As-Built survey of the local area. We utilized the data gathered during this process to create a 3D CAD model of the project location and surrounding neighborhood. The CAD model was then imported into 3D Studio Max Design, a popular 3D modeling and animation software package. Our graphic design team is currently adding textures and lighting to this model to make it look as realistic as possible. The proposed transportation hub is being modeled, as well as all surrounding buildings, including Target Field.
The final product will be a series of "fly-through" videos that showcase all of the features of this new transportation hub. These videos will be used to solicit feedback from municipal agencies, utility companies, railroad companies, elected officials, local business owners, and neighborhood groups.
As our firm completes the modeling and animation tasks, we will be posting updates here on our website.
